First Boot
What happens when you power on the Iconet Gateway for the first time.
Boot Sequence
When powered on for the first time, the gateway performs:
- Hardware self-test (~10 seconds)
- Network initialization (~15 seconds)
- Service startup (~30 seconds)
- Ready state — LED turns solid green
Total boot time: approximately 60 seconds.
Setup Wizard
On first boot, the web dashboard displays an interactive setup wizard that guides you through:
- Admin account creation — Set your username and password
- Network verification — Confirm IP settings
- Protocol selection — Enable KNX, DALI, and/or Zigbee
- Device discovery — Scan for connected devices
- Smart home pairing — Connect to Apple Home, Google Home, or Alexa
Factory Reset
To reset the gateway to factory defaults:
- Press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds
- The LED will blink red three times
- Release the button
- The gateway will reboot with default settings
