Amazon Alexa
Add the gateway to Alexa and control it by voice.
You need
- An Echo that acts as a Matter controller (most recent Echo models) and the Alexa app.
- The gateway's pairing code: Integrations › Matter › Bridge › Pairing code.
Pair
- Open Alexa, go to Devices › + › Add Device.
- Choose Other › Matter and scan the QR code or type the code.
- Assign devices to groups.
Limits
Alexa accepts up to about 50 devices from one bridge and only pairs with the gateway's main bridge. Choose the devices you really use by voice in Integrations › Matter › Bridge.
Use
- "Alexa, turn off the living room" · "set the thermostat to 22 degrees" · "lower the blinds".
- Alexa routines can trigger on exposed sensors (motion, contact).
